AMIRAH

I love being a carer because giving back to the community is something that should be on everyone’s bucket list. With bringing a smile to someone’s day, even through the hard times, it is the most gratifying role I can participate in. Bringing Joy to their last marathon in life is my way of paying it forward, and for that I am blessed. I am naturally a loving, and nurturing person and being a care professional means I get to be me in my role because caring is love and service in action. There is nothing more satisfying than helping a senior live a healthy, vibrant life

To be able to help a client remain in their own home for as long as possible and for them to retain the ability and right to make their own choices and decisions, for me is a privilege. To be able to establish a mutual trusting relationship with a client is, I believe,  paramount to their mental and physical health. My most rewarding placement was helping a lovely client living in beautiful Guernsey, to become completely independent after suffering a stroke the previous year.  The day I finally left her was sad in one way as we had become very close. However, to see her recover so that she no longer required full-time live-in care, was simply wonderful.

I believe that being a carer is the most rewarding profession of them all, especially for a people centred personality like mine. Going to bed everyday knowing that I have helped a vulnerable adult live independently in the home they love is the most fulfilling thing for me. I love that everyday is different however some days are challenging when my client is having a bad day, but that’s no problem because those challenges enable me to apply my problem solving skills and create a more personalised approach in meeting my client’s needs. In short, I simply enjoy making a difference in the life of someone under my care.

NELLY

In my career as a professional carer I have supported both children and vulnerable adults for many years because providing support is what I’m good at and extremely proud of. What I love the most about being a carer is that, I get the opportunity to look after people in need of my support and meeting their personal care needs. I generally have love for all things food related and as a carer I get to share this by cooking with my clients. I have found this this type of work immensely rewarding and my aspiration is to expand my awareness and experience as a carer.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Christie –  Suffolk

I was a bit worried about mum having a live in carer as she wasn’t keen on the idea and a care home was simply not a viable option. Live In Care Angels were very helpful throughout the process and successfully matched mum with an excellent carer and now they are inseparable.

Jonathan  –  Cardiff

We are extremely pleased with the standard of care my dad is receiving and the support Live In Care Angels has given us, they have gone above and beyond. I feel more secure knowing my dad has a carer whose company he thoroughly enjoys.

My family is very happy that dad is no longer just sitting on the couch watching tv all day. He now has an active life and eats healthy home cooked meals everyday since changing to Live In Care Angels. Ben has been brilliant at supporting dad with his hobbies and social life.
